Last Semester: Day 1

It was a cold blustery day today. It was also the first day of my last semester. I had four of my six classes and they are back to back. Although it's not the best situation, I'm willing to make it work. I packed a lunch and ate it in between classes. I'm hoping that not having time to go get bad food will help with my whole loose weight/work out more mantra. My classes seem interesting. There's a lot of reading but that's what happens when you only have English courses left over.

My Shakespeare professor is the same that I had as last year. She comes really stern but she's awesome. There are about 15/20 of us and we are in a huge room it seems really odd. Jordan from camp is in my class. It's nice to know someone well. Although I must say, I'm starting to befriend English Majors. I'm still trying to grasp that they are not the music people. haha.

My Bible Professor is ironically old. But senile and adorable. He had a translate a section of Mark from Greek to English. Fun once you got the hang of it.

My world Lit professor seems fun. The class is completely full. There isn't one empty seat. It makes me really uneasy. I may be claustrophobic.

My American Renaissance professor is really cool. However, an hour long lecture about Emerson's life....Not so much. Here's hoping once we start reading things that I won't be watching the clock. A girl from my 298 class is in this one. She and I drove to a play together once. Again, it's nice to know people.

Winter Break was short in some ways but long in others. Big Y has so many teen twerps and college kids home I really didn't work that much. But it was okay because I had my winter class and I was really able to focus.

I also got to knit a lot. I feel pretty proud of myself. I remember I used to be the girl who could only use real knitting needles to make a simple garter stitch scarf. (I wore one of them today) I used the knifty knitter a lot early in college. (I plan on making Jon a hat with one soon). But lately I've gone regular knit crazy. Over the break alone. I made Jon a two-toned scarf with a ribbed pattern and a baby afghan with circulars. I'm going to donate the blanket. Next on the agenda is a olive green cowl (weird scarf that doesn't ave edges) for myself and the hat for Jon I discussed earlier. I have a cousin in Oklahoma that knits and is demanding a facebook album so stay tuned.

Jon and I went away last week. By away I mean my apartment and then an overnight by the casino. It was much needed. Perfect way to end the break. :)

He's here, and even though I went to the gym already, Jon wants to go. So I'm gonna finish my blanket. start the cowl tomorrow night.

Bye
