Real quick update.
Cleopatra's Daughter. A+++++++++ times infinity. I was really upset when it was over. But it had a really awesome surprise ending! GOD I need to get back to my stories!
I'm now reading Stephanie Meyer's The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. I heard mixed things about it. We shall see who's correct.
Loving Katy Perry's Firework song right now. Stupid Just Dance 2. It's stuck in my head.
Went to Jon's Grandma's for a Post Holiday party (She was away during the actual holidays) SHE had everyone in his family (spouses and significant others included) go in her room and go through a mountain of stuff. Like I have plastic shopping bags full of stuff that she gave me. Insanity. Did you also know that Jon and Rachel Hanlon are first cousins? They are.
I'm ready to take a leave of absence from big y. Waiting 4 more months? 5 months? BRING IT ON.
My ipod charger cable thing is missing. :(
Okay should go to bed soon. Marathon school day commences in 9 hours and change.
Bye

ugh. I HATE THE SNOW
my class is at 1:40. But I'm going to be heading out in a bit to clean off my car because I am sure that parking will be a nightmare. oh CCSU. We've been together for so long, your starting to get on my NERVES! In may we are so DONE. (With a quick 2nd try till July. Summer classes)
I really shouldn't be complaining...I just hate driving in the snow. It's one class and I'll bring a book. I really haven't had time for pleasure reading anyhow. Speaking of. I have so books to grade. (Haven't done this in a while. Book-a-week challenge met finals week.)
Harry Potter- Not done yet. About half way. Enough to see the movie. I know you must think it's crazy that I'm not one of those people who can just sit there and read a HP book all the way through in like 24 hours. But I can't. But what I've read so far is A+. DUH what else would it be?
Uglies By Scott Westerfield- I gave it a B. I thought it was going to be a quick read and the beginning was painful. But the middle and end made up for it. Really exciting, surprising and I'm a sucker for a romance.
Down a Dark Hall By Lois Duncan. This book was my moms! It's from the 70's. It was more like a Novella really. Anyway. I gave it a C. It was just too friggin weird at the end. When it was over, I may have actually been pissed off.
Now I'm reading Cleopatra's Daughter by Michele Moran. I'm not done with it yet, but I am in love. I think I just like historical fiction.
speaking of books. I finally got a great comment on Webook!
"Wow I read the page to fame thing and I was like... I WANT TO READ THIS. And then I did :) So hey, keep it up. I look forward to reading more :D"
At least someone appreciates a good Zombie story. Incentive to finish it? We will see.
I have to go bury out my car now.... *grumble*

Last Semester: Day 1
It was a cold blustery day today. It was also the first day of my last semester. I had four of my six classes and they are back to back. Although it's not the best situation, I'm willing to make it work. I packed a lunch and ate it in between classes. I'm hoping that not having time to go get bad food will help with my whole loose weight/work out more mantra. My classes seem interesting. There's a lot of reading but that's what happens when you only have English courses left over.
My Shakespeare professor is the same that I had as last year. She comes really stern but she's awesome. There are about 15/20 of us and we are in a huge room it seems really odd. Jordan from camp is in my class. It's nice to know someone well. Although I must say, I'm starting to befriend English Majors. I'm still trying to grasp that they are not the music people. haha.
My Bible Professor is ironically old. But senile and adorable. He had a translate a section of Mark from Greek to English. Fun once you got the hang of it.
My world Lit professor seems fun. The class is completely full. There isn't one empty seat. It makes me really uneasy. I may be claustrophobic.
My American Renaissance professor is really cool. However, an hour long lecture about Emerson's life....Not so much. Here's hoping once we start reading things that I won't be watching the clock. A girl from my 298 class is in this one. She and I drove to a play together once. Again, it's nice to know people.
Winter Break was short in some ways but long in others. Big Y has so many teen twerps and college kids home I really didn't work that much. But it was okay because I had my winter class and I was really able to focus.
I also got to knit a lot. I feel pretty proud of myself. I remember I used to be the girl who could only use real knitting needles to make a simple garter stitch scarf. (I wore one of them today) I used the knifty knitter a lot early in college. (I plan on making Jon a hat with one soon). But lately I've gone regular knit crazy. Over the break alone. I made Jon a two-toned scarf with a ribbed pattern and a baby afghan with circulars. I'm going to donate the blanket. Next on the agenda is a olive green cowl (weird scarf that doesn't ave edges) for myself and the hat for Jon I discussed earlier. I have a cousin in Oklahoma that knits and is demanding a facebook album so stay tuned.
Jon and I went away last week. By away I mean my apartment and then an overnight by the casino. It was much needed. Perfect way to end the break. :)
He's here, and even though I went to the gym already, Jon wants to go. So I'm gonna finish my blanket. start the cowl tomorrow night.
Bye

Hi.
Quick update
Got an A in my online course.
My Grad school apps are going out tomorrow. This time next month I will know where I'm going/hopefully know where I'm going to be placed if I get the internship.
I'm almost done with my Project Linus Afghan. stay tuned.
Went to the Casino and broke even. :)
Jon and I just spent the past four days watching The Office. It's the calm before the spring semester storm.
I owe you...a long entry.

Hey I'm still Alive
Sorry for the month hiatus. The end of the semester was crazy, as was work with the holidays. David was also here for two weeks. He shipped out yesterday. :( He's off to Washington now...it's probably going to be at least six months till we see each other. boo.
Keeping with the season...lets do some resolutions!
1. Work out as much as I have been if not more- I hate to admit it, but I've gained about 30 pounds since high school. I know that I used to be a semi-stick when I danced...but I don't like it. I mean I don't have to necessarily be back to that old weight...but I want to look nice in the clothes I own. Eating out less/eating better food should go hand and hand with this.
2. Finish an effing story. :) I thought I would finish TZN over break. I haven't touched it since school got out. I was losing steam...and I made the mistake of putting it somewhere that people could assess it, thinking it was awesome...and it's not. Not yet anyway. It discouraged me a little...but oh well. Better to find out now than later.
3. Make this last semester count. It's crazy to think that in less than 5 months, I will be walking at graduation. That being said...I was kind of a hermit this past semester. Granted, I got decent grades (STILL waiting to hear officially) but I pretty much went to class, went home, and went to bellas. Those girls were most of my out of school contact. This semester I'm going to try to see the Seth North crew, Carissa and even friends who don't go to CCSU. I want to try to do more fun stuff, because next year is going to be crazy. I don't know when I'm going to have time to see Jon let alone any one else. And obviously...get good grades
4. Make time for the little things. That being said, I should enjoy my lazy days with Jon. Knitting, reading for pleasure and writing stories. Because with my internship next year...I'm not even going to be able to work at Big Y.
5. Save money while I can. For when I don't have a job, and when I feel like I need to buy something.
