I wish I was better about keeping up with this, but seeing how my second draft of my story has been on chapter three for almost two months...things have been busy. It's not that I don't want to write by the time I get to it I'm physically exhausted. This is my last week of classes. It only has to get better, right?
In the mean time, I'm trying to do small related fun things. Drawing the characters. I want to do interviews with them. Haha. I can at least work on character development with a fried brain.
Besides the weekend, I haven't taken taken a day off or called out. Yep since August 25, I have been at this. I NEED A DAY OFF! But I'd rather have her ask me to do it than appear weak. The novel will be there!
In other exciting news...moving in with Jon. WHAT? Not until the summer but all the parties involved think it's finally time. My parents and his parents finally met! It's serious! Oh shit! It also sounds like Jon's brother wants to sell the house. Which means I'll be looking for apartments.
6 months is a long time from now, but seeing how December seemed like a long way away from August...It will really just be a little long and I've got a lot of shit do along the way.

Surprising Awake...
Evening...Blog.
I don't know if anyone reads this anymore. Tumblr seems to be the next big thing...I suppose that someday I will jump on board. I bearly have time to edit or breathe so I can't imagine it will be anytime soon. Lately life is like this.
6:30 AM Get the hell up
7:30 AM Drive to Work (Better hope you Ate, ironed and made yourself presentable)
8:00 AM- 3:ish PM Teach, laugh, staple things, make copies, organize the scary book shelves of future mentor teacher, smile, interact with 5 year old boys who love you, laugh, bathroom, give a spelling test, interact with 10 year boys that love you (eeek). Struggle throught a math lesson, YELL at kid standing on table, read stories, teach choir, cut out stuff for art teacher, being encoraging to boys and girls of all ages, go to library and sit on floor like I'm a kid. Eat lunch, laugh more, color, talk to teachers (many who were interns) DROP DEAD.
4:00-8:00 T and Th (Six on Monday) Sit in boring lectures.
Rest of day and weekends: Lesson plans, Lesson plans, online homework, online homework, unit plans, Native Americans, Disney Math lab, Butterfly life cycle play, Orgainic Food presentation, Lesson plans. Jon time. Story work.
It's crazy, sometimes I would rather be doing anything else at nine oclock at night and I'm always tired. But there is nothing else I'd rather do. Well I'd like to write more obviously. But there will be time. The kids make me happy. And the millions of lesson plans are at least fun to do. A nice change of pace from all the reading of the classics I did last year.
It's hard to believe it's already the middle of November. In someways it's bittersweet. Though I'm coming back next year, it won't be like this. They are all going to grow. Some will head to middle school. I'm getting attached. I NEVER WANT TO GO BACK TO BIG Y.
Seriously, I will be a camp counselor, nanny, tutor. Hell anything involving children. Please, I don't want to look at a Gold Coin ever AGAIN.

Merry Happy
Hey just a quick update.
Haven't had my internship or school in over a week. I think everyone, including my father will be happy when this storm is behind us.
But the time off has been great because I'm now working on my second draft of my current project. I have broken a record with this one! I've finished half a dozen or less rough drafts, but nothing has gotten this far. It's tedious, but in the long run it will be worth it. I'm going back and doing things that I wasn't even thinking about when I busted it out the first time. My main character has more background story, and it's more detailed. Though I'm only on my second chapter. I'm happy to say that chapter one has been split into two chapters and I know of at least three new ones that I wanted to do from the get go. After I finish this (I imagine it won't be for sometime) I will take another mini hiatus before I do the final work draft. That will probably be more like polishing and what not. Copyright? Then I can start telling you what this is all about! Trust me, I want to SO BAD.

Hello
Trying to be better about posting on here. I swear to god I have so many stories about my internship and I talk to Jon about them all the time. I'm convinced that he is pretending to be interested. Haha. Maybe not who knows.
What I do know however:
-I've been interning for a month already! It feels so much longer in some ways! So far I've subbed for 5th grade twice, 1 grade once, and pre-k once all day. I've done half days in 4th. I've also done a lot of work in their autistic program. This week alone I was in there 3 out of 5 school days. They are good kids, and my heart goes out to a few. I just want to scoop them up and take them home!
-I've got a shit-ton of homework. But It's done for the weekend. Time to have fun, be with my boy, Have dinner with my cousin and her husband and swap teacher stories. :)
-I finished the rough draft of my secret not releasing much about it story. After a copy right I will spill the beans. I have too much invested in this one to let anything slide. :)
-Life is pretty cool. Just tired a lot.
-Neighbors up the street are having a party or something because the top 40 station is BLARING.

Hi
The meaning of the name Teagan is Little Poet
The origin of the name Teagan is Irish
Alternate spellings: Teegan, Teagen
Notes: From Teague. Possibly also derived from the Welsh name Tegan meaning "pretty, fair"
Not only is it the name of one of my favorite students, but the meaning would apply. :)
Locking it away for the future. <3

The Summer That Was...and The Summer That Will Never Be
So here I am. Sorry for not writing. It's been an interesting few months. This summer has been nothing short of a blur.
Almost exactly 3 months ago, I graduated from CCSU. At the time, there was such an anticipation, it seemed like it would never come. And now it's a distant memory. I just finished my graduate school orientation and I'm one credit closer to getting my masters. (So the driving an hour each way for a week was worth it.)
After a brief week of relaxing with my cousins and whatnot, I started my summer class. It was terrible, I had walked at the XL center, but I had to go back to school? And worse, learn about King Arthur? At first it wasn't so bad, but I had to miss the most amazing week of the year and the best place on earth for the second year in a row. However on the plus side, As of right now it looks as though I will be going to LMC 2012. Even if I have class again. It will only be one day for four hours. But it sounds like I will be finished before camp even starts. I wish I could explain the joy that that brings me.
I spent a lot of time with Jon this summer, and he moved out of his parents house! However with Interning all week and then class we will not see each as much. But I'm trying to look on the bright side of things. It will mean much more when we are together now and we probably won't bicker as much because we won't be spending every waking moment together. Also...2 years in a few weeks!
The final thing I will leave you with is of course writing related. I've been spending pretty much every free moment (and even at work some...shhh) working on a new idea. I'm on my 16th chapter and I'm figuring I'm going to need about 5 more to get where I want to go. For along time I thought that my trilogy (Carceral, Manumit and Venerate) were going to be my "babies" so to speak. I'm even proud to say that 2 out of 3 have their rough draft written. But it was so hard. I created a world, races, religions, history etc etc etc. And it got to be too much for me to handle. I love it of course, but I'm not certain that some else reading it would like it right now for anything besides the main characters romance and it's more than just that! So for now Carceral will sit in Jon's house, Manumit will be in my desk and Venerate will be written someday. I'm not giving up on it, I just need to look at it from a different perspective and I'm not ready to do that yet...
So anyway...NEW project. I'm actually being really secretive about it because I really want it to be a surprise if it goes anywhere. I think I've told my cousin Ashley, Jon and my brother about it. What I will say is that it's a YA fantasy/paranormal story. And that it also has influences from my real life. One being the setting (loosely) and the other being a few characters, one in particular. I'm hoping this will not be an issue (I'm not exactly sure how they would feel to know that they are a character in my book) but it's really more so a situation in the beginning of the story that is similar to something that happened to me. It kind of spins off from there. To be honest, I really don't care because the feelings that I was "revisiting" made for some great writing as well as a killer story playlist. :)
I'm really excited about it. And have been working on it for about...2 months and change. Once it's done, I'm gonna put it away for awhile. I met an author a few weeks ago that said to "let it think about what's it's done" and I thought that was a hilarious way to describe it. That way, when I pick it up in say...a month, it will be new again, and ready to be made better.
I'm telling you I've become a nut. :)

An update
I haven't really been posting. Partially because I'm busy, but also just because nothing really stands out to me. But an update: why the heck not.
My summer classes are a lot of work. I honestly have nothing to say that makes it any better. I guess that it will be over June 30th and then I can move on to the next chapter of my life which will be even more work. but...eh...it will be a change of scenery at least.
I also got a parking ticket at school yesterday. One last hurrah CCFU?
But in other news. Started picking up the pencil to work on Venerate A.K.A part three of the trilogy. And I went to Barnes and Noble to do homework today...and I may go back there again and see if I can get anywhere. As for the other two...Jon still has part One and part two needs A LOT OF work. but it's done at least.
In the Jon world, things are really going good for for him. For one: he's been looking at full time jobs. He actually had an interview today, so we shall see how that goes. Also, he's moving out! I KNOW RIGHT? Long story short his brother is moving to New Jersey and He (eventually WE) will be renting the house. Without a job (my internship pays for tuition only) I can't pay the bills. So until the internship is over or my parents don't mind that I stay with Jon and not pay I will only be a visitor. but either way...pretty exciting.
I move home in a little over a month and although it has good points (cheaper, less crappy food etc) it will be interesting (dad anyone?) but trying to collect all my stuff in this apartment is an overwhelming and scary thought.
Cheers.

Don't mind me...just knitting baby sweaters...
...because Jon's sister is having a GIRL! WOOOOOOT!
I started making it before I knew anyway, just because I like the pattern...but had I discovered Heather was having another boy...I would have kept making it. My cousin Sarah had a baby girl last night...or you know...when I have kids...
Here's the countdown:
5 days till I'm 22.
6 days till commencement.
15 days till summer classes begin
46 days till I'm officialy done with being an undergrad
77 days until my lease is up/ my last day at Big Y (for now at least)
93(?) days until Grad School starts
-Internship begins
-Heather's baby is born
Big things are a comin. :)

:)
I always seem to meet people and make great friends just before a chapter of my life is about to close... :(
But I'm glad I tagged along tonight, it was the most fun I've had in a long time. :)
And sometimes it's fun to know that Jon is not the only boy that finds me attractive. Sometimes I forget. But don't tell him that. He will probably want to kill someone. :P
Good night!

Here's that Long one
Since I don't have to work till four tomorrow and I'm not really tired, I guess I will give an update.
I think the thing that is most exciting and new is that Jon's older sister announced today that she is pregnant with her second baby! I'm really happy for her because Tyler is 3 and change now. This is Grand kid number three for Jon's parents (Jon's brother has a little 8 month old boy) and everyone (myself included) is hoping it's a girl. Not that I don't love Tyler and Fintan, but I want to make girl things! I know it probably seems strange but in September I will have been with Jon for two years and I feel like I've known these kids their almost their whole lives (With Fintan it has been his whole entire life.) Anyway, I already feel very connected to them. Tyler already has called me Auntie Kelly. Now I know, I know this is not the first time I've had this title with a boyfriend's nephew. However, the difference is that in past the parents were pushing it and it made me uncomfortable. This time it happened on it's own through his mouth. He ran over to me on Christmas and thanked me and called me that. That means more to me than if Heather and BJ told him to say that. I've been in his life since he was just shy of two years old. He might not know any better, but in any case... I am constantly proven that I belong in this family. It's only a matter of time...
Okay enough sappiness.
In other Jon's family related news, he may be buying his brother's house! WOOOOT! Now if a job would just open up...oh wait...it's Connecticut and America and the economy sucks! God? Could you grant Jon TWO miracle opportunities?
My hand really effing hurts but that could be because I write everyday of my life for hours...My rough draft of Manumit is pretty close to done. Two months? Have I turned into Bach, or Mozart or James Paterson...hahaah. Busting out these drafts like I'm a machine? Guess I should enjoy it now...because in September...life beyond Elementary Education is OVER.
Also, I've lost 8 pounds! WHAT? Finally! I've only been dieting and working out since January! To be honest I've stepped it up a shit ton. I work out 3-4 times a week and I've pretty much stopped eating out (Like once every other week if that). Also on a New BC pill so that might be helping too, but whatever it is. THANK YOU GOD it's making me feel great. Oh yah and my clothes fit better too. :)
Sorry for Bragging.
I graduate in 31(?) days which is getting intense. My last Acabella concert is Thursday and I have one big paper before my finals week work begins. It's certainly been a long and crazy road, but I suppose that I wouldn't have it any other way.
Life has been good lately. <3

Quick Update
I've been neglectful. April is nothing but outrageously busy...I am actually looking forward to May. Haha. No Acabella's at least.
If exciting news. I am going to be interning at Harry S. Fisher Elementary School in Terryville next year. It sounds like they only have one Intern per year and the Principal called ME before I had a chance to call her, so I feel pretty happy. :) It's right in between my house and Waterbury, so it's the perfect situation. I'm going to visit the school on friday and I'm looking forward to it.
In also exciting related news. Jon has been looking at full time jobs. Who know if he will hear anything back, but at least he's looking on his own. I'm really hoping that he will have his own place so when can have some privacy. Not that I don't love his parents, but you must admit, that would be A MAJOR DRAG.
However, he's is like painstakingly taking his time with Carceral and I feel like I'm going to be done with the rough draft of Manumit before I have Carceral back. In his defense. I always knew that Manumit and Venerate were going to be easier to write. But Carceral had to be done to make sense. Hopefully Jon and other's can help make it just as kick ass.
Okay, I need to eat. Talk to you later.

Haha
So I see why people give up on this blog thing half way through...eventually you are like....oh damn I have to hunt for more pictures...Eh, we will see if I feel like picking it up tomorrow. Work has been hectic. But I will have money.
Nothing too exciting otherwise. Just been reading and working on my rough draft of Manumit. Jon has Carceral and I'm scared he's going to hate it. Here's hoping he's going to love it instead.
Then here's the game plan:
Revise all the stuff he and I went through
Apply for copyright
Send out queries? EGADS! (That might be scarier than Jon reading the 1st draft)
Here's a more general game plan:
Apply for Summer classes
Meet for my interview with UB
Pass everything (Not really concerned)
Hopefully have time for novel stuff.
